Ball 453
The Struggle Is Real (Especially The Third Time Around) It seems not all is well for S40 draftee Tyler Cote. The newest edition to the Ball Hard Player Agency, Cote has been struggling heavily in the VHLM thus far into the season and he isn't taking it lightly. "I just don't get it," said Cote after the Red Wolves latest loss to his former team, the Ottawa Lynx. "I work so hard to better myself every single day in practice, yet the results just aren't showing it. I was chosen to lead Moscow to a Founder's Cup, yet how can I help them win if I can't perform up to potential?" Arguably the third highest touted prospect in this season's upcoming VHL Entry Draft, behind Thomas O'Malley and Mason Richardson, Cote has struggled to find his groove on offense, only mustering up 28 points in 25 games. Meanwhile the Red Wolves, though atop the European Conference, have struggled alongside their star center, with a 11-12-3 record. "We got a great group of guys in the locker room all looking to me to step it up and play like I should," stated Cote. "They are doing their part, now it's about time I stepped up to the plate. My goal is to be selected first overall in the upcoming VHL draft, but first and foremost I want to bring a cup to this organization" On the bright side, Cote's physical play has been phenomenal as the young center is second in hits (99) and first in PIMs (87). Ball Hard Inc. held a conference today for VHL general managers and fans about Tyler and his recent struggles. "As you all know, we here at the Ball Hard Agency have experience plenty of talented players who have all struggled to live up to their potentials. Our job is to help Tyler focus on becoming the best possible player he can be. He has the work ethic and a will to succeed that trumps any player in this upcoming draft, now we just have to make sure he gets to where he wants in his playing career." It is still early in the season, so Cote still has a chance to step up his play and drive up his draft stocks. But if Tyler continues to struggle, it looks like neither Cote nor the Ball Hard Agency will ever know the feeling of hoisting the Founder's Cup.
