Cooper Skambraks is a right winger who stands at a whopping 6'5 and weighs 173 pounds. Cooper grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa where his father was a player on the Johannesburg Wildcats. He went to every game his father played in.  Sadly his father passed away in a tragic boating accident when Cooper was only 10. From that moment on Cooper decided to dedicate his hockey career to his father and from that moment on he never looked back. Cooper was the top scorer on his peewee hockey team averaging a hat-trick a game. However when he got to the high school level his production went down and he found himself taking bad shots and being a puck hog because  of his drop in scoring. Whenever Cooper began to mature he realized he didn't need to be the best guy on the team in scoring but instead he became a role player putting up assist totals that were unheard of.  As a senior in high school Cooper was a superstar however this was in a low contest high school league in South Africa so take the superstar thing with a grain of salt. He started to get college offers from major D1 schools like Michigan and Boston College but he felt that college wasn't right for him he wanted to skip that step in his career. Cooper caught the eye of the VHLM out of high school and signed up for the draft. He was a highly touted prospect that everyone wanted on their team but he was a first round projected pick that some thought was destined for stardom. However just days before the draft a knee injury was uncovered by some media personnel. This ruined his draft stock. He fell down to a late round draft pick and some even thought he would go undrafted. Cooper was crushed all this work he had put in had just been for nothing he felt his career was ruined.  The night of the draft came around hopes were high and the pressure was on. Rounds one through five came and went, Coopers self esteem was at an all time low. Round six started this is the round that many thought he would bet drafted in. picks sixty-one through sixty-nine were through and now it was pick 70. The Huston Bulls were on the clock. Cooper sat there eyes glued to the phone waiting for the ring. Then it happened, Coopers phone started ringing he sat there frozen for the first couple rings slowly realizing this phone call could change his whole life. He finally picked up the phone. On the other end of the phone was Matty Ice the General Manager of the Huston Bulls congratulating him on being drafted. For Cooper this was a dream come true. But this was also his chance to prove everyone wrong. His chance to make people regret not taking him in the first round. Cooper believes he has what it takes however the only step left is to prove it.
