Bulduray_1 274
Sit Down With Sergey Today, we had the honour of meeting and interviewing rising star, Sergey Preobrazhensky. He had an astonishing week, posting two hat tricks helping the Marlins scrape out as many points as they can. The Marlins, a bottomfeeder team, are now competing with the big guns, winning big games against Ottawa, Mexico City and Halifax during their hot streak. It’s safe enough to say that no one saw this coming from the Marlins. Interviewer: Welcome Sergey, I’m going to start off with a very basic question, what are your thoughts and feelings after an amazing week of performance? Sergey: I mean, it is always great to be playing like this, but there are other things we can continue to strive towards, getting drafted to the VHL, have even better performances, the list goes on and on. I’m delighted that I’m doing what I’m doing right now in terms of my performance but there are other things in the back of my mind that I want to work towards and not dwell on my performance this week. Interviewer: From the start of the season to now, what changes have been made for the Marlins to be competing in games with playoff teams? Sergey: Well the addition of new and upcoming players helps. On top of that, we’ve got better as a team skill-wise, doing the right fundamentals to translate that into a game. I’m pleased with how my team is playing as of late Interviewer: Last question, what are you for the remainder of the season? Sergey: Fairly simple answer here, just get better as a player individually, to get myself set for the draft. Sergey Preobrazhensky and the Marlins are down to a few weeks left of games. It’s been great to see all the young stars on the team shine. Although this might be some of the final weeks we get to see such an amazing group of talented players on the ice together. We hope they thrive wherever their career takes them in hockey! Tune in next week when the final set of games are yet to be played. Who knows what the standings will look like then?
