The VHLM draft has concluded and Obi Adesanya had to wait until 46 other players heard their name called before he knew where he would spend the next few season, as Obi went to the Houston Bulls at 47th overall after entering his name into the draft late. The Bulls were 2nd on Obi's list of top teams he wanted to be drafted by, so overall he was very happy about the landing spot. "I really didn't know what to expect" said Adesanya, one of the first players from Cameroon to ever play professional hockey. "I want to thank Houston for giving me a chance. Even though I know I won't be a top player in my rookie year, I hope I can learn from the guys around me and progress into a player who can contribute to wins eventually." The Bulls also drafted two other left wingers ahead of Obi, making Obi at least a 3rd line winger for now.
