Tucker Having Another Career Season

Recommended Posts

Every year throughout his career, Henry Tucker had made strides in the right direction. After scoring scoring just 1 point in a short rookie season in the VHLM, he scored 43 times more points the next year, and improved his points scoring by 30, to 73 points, in his final season in the M. The next year, he was in the majors, another big improvement, where he scored just 8 points (and 1 in the playoffs), and then upped those totals to 42, 75, and 106 (24 playoff points), the latter season being the one where he won playoffs MVP.

After entering regression for the first time, Tucker was sure that he would start to lose his edge and slowly decline, as did most of the media. But he was wrong. He quickly got his attributed up to pre-depreciation levels and has continued rocking out. Now the Wolves' captain, Tucker continues to best himself. Through 59 games on 1st place Vancouver, Tucker has 50 goals and 59 assists for 109 points (the first time he's ever been in the 50/50 club, and is one of only 7 players to be doing that so far). He's got a +54 plus minus, 291 hits, 28 shots blocked, 9 game winners, 124 PIM, and 427 shots. He's 5th in points and hits, 7th in goals, and 3rd in plus/minus and game-winners. He's got a surprisingly okay shot at 2-way forward of the year, and is within 5 points of surpassing Aloe Dear as the team's leading scorer.

Tucker's also started looking at the franchise records and has found that he's slowly climbing the ladder. As of this writing, he's 12th in games (340), 7th in goals (148), 13th in assists (192), 9th in points (340), 3rd in PIM (659), 2nd in hits (1165), 4th in shots (1687), and 9th in game winners (22). If the records hold and he stays with the team, he can tie for games played, probably take over the goals record, maybe get the assists and game winning goals marks (that's a long shot), potentially become the leader in points and shots, and easily become the leader in PIM and hits. More updated to come in the following weeks!
