Appreciation Post for Sam

When I make posts on the forums or discord, I am typically either making a joke, sarcastic, or just providing some honest insight. Today, I am going to throw a shoutout to one of the good friends I have made since my return and that is the one and only @samx

 

This year I returned to the VHL after a 60+ season absence. A lot has changed, and Sam was amongst one of the first to greet me back and help show me the new ropes. I have noticed this has been a general pattern she has shown to new members in general. While I was upset to hear she was switching her VHLE role to the VHLM since that destroyed my chance to play for her, it also makes a ton of sense from an unselfish POV. New players will easily feel welcomed and comfortable playing for the Halifax 21st. Someone who is fun to mess with, easy to talk to and just a generally comfortable presence, that is a recipe for success for a GM at any level in this league.  Meanwhile she doesn’t like to admit she likes compliments, I hope Sam can take some pride in this one and keep doing the amazing work she has done for the league as not only a mod, but a GM as well. Thank you for it all, Sam! I’m happy to have made a  new friend in my return here. Cheers to you and much appreciation!
