Arpa returns to familiar territory

It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows this season for young goaltender Miervaldis Arpa but they accomplished enough to prove they can be a starter next season and get another chance at a championship in the VHLE, especially being in a league with a lot of close games compared to the VHLM. Although Arpa spent time in Europe before joining, making adjustments is not easy for anybody, so before relaxing the key thing would be to start training right away and that's what Miervaldis did. Something that comes with returning to Latvia would be the motivation from family and having a brother who also plays goalie makes preparing even better, since being eliminated from the playoffs both of them have been at it playing random games with other locals in the area, keeping in mind that the real action will be soon. With how busy the two of them have been it's been a thrill for the young players for sure but let's hope it isn't too much and both of them are not overworked before beginning a new season in their respective leagues.
