diacope 1,696
Playoff Leaders Best Even Strength Player After capping at the perfect time and entering the playoffs with one of the best offensive builds, it was a lowkey Jason Coiner to step up and find new ways to score and include his teammates on chances, dashing his way through defenders and consistently getting on board somehow, ending his journey with 18 points in 17 played. Best PP/PK Player The team was all pretty close in terms of powerplay performance but the one name that stuck out and bended his talents was Jason Lajeunesse, he gave our second PP unit a boost while playing on the point, scoring 6 big goals and stepped up large on the penalty kill playing as center. Team Workhorse Chicken Nugget came into this post-season with a fire that almost had them pass our all-time leader in hits with less games and fell short by 1.. No worries though because they are now #1 for most in playoff appearance, beating the previous leader by 5! Add in the momentum changing offense and we get a definite workhorse. Cleanest Player A familiar face returns to take his cleanest player award for the final this is season and in an astounding 17 games he never went to the box but that's not the surprising part.. It's been since Game 25, 64 straight games! Daniel Clarke is our cleanest player again. Game Changer If we didn't get this player in the line up this season our playoffs wouldn't have been as close as they were and the player who did that was Perry Laperriere, he had a 55% on the dot, 14% when shooting and had two game winners.. One of only players to play on all units game after game. Best Crease Effort It doesn't get sweeter than a shutout against a team that was piling on the goals the game before and Ed Nu did it at a perfect time to raise morale, giving the team strength for a final push against the Marlins in Game 6, stopping 28 shots and a red hot PP unit who went 0/6.
