Starting Off Hot

Well the first week of the VHLE season is in the books and it Cologne has gotten off to a hot start. They are 8-4 through their first 12 games and have really been a surprise after not much was expected from them when their veteran players got called up right before the season started. There has been a nice balance of scoring so far, as Alessio Simeoni leads all goal scorers with 8 goals, yet there are 3-4 guys right behind him in the 5-6 goal range. Rookie Obi Adesanya has been a bit slow in the goals department so far, with only 5 goals in 12 games. It was expected that he would be pushing for the league lead in scoring, but there is still plenty of time for him to get going. Cologne will play Stockholm and Oslo later tonight, hoping for a couple of solid wins to start off the week.
