Zadorov Debuts

Andrey Zadorov made his VHLM debut this week with the Brampton Blades. The Russian defender is a big two-way defender who plays both ends of the ice very well. He’s entered into the S36 VHL Entry Draft this upcoming off season and could very well be a high draft pick in the upcoming draft.  The Blades opened up there season with a 1-0-1 record. Zadorov recorded 1 assist in each of those for a total of 2 points in 2 games.  Zadorov was drafted 9th overall in the VHLM dispersal draft by the Blades after entering the draft a few days before it occurred. Zadorov is connected to current VHLer Brody Hodgson as they share the same agent.

In terms of wanting to come over to North America it’s been a dream. Zadorov does speak English and speaks it fairly well. He’s been in North America for a few years and has learned enough English to communicate with media if needed. The next step for Zadorov will be getting drafted and trying to make it straight into the VHL. He’s also willing to spend another season down in the VHLM to continue to develop his all around game.
