Scurvy 1,488
Review of Las Vegas Aces vs Mississauga Hounds Game 355 LVA forward Pete Mitchell continued his minor league dominance scoring his 43rd goal of the season as the surging Aces defeated the Hounds 5 -1 in the second to last game of the season. cds Leb also chipped in as the first start with his 35th and 36th tally of the season. The Aces needed this win to gain some momentum in the coming playoffs. Many feel that the Aces are the hidden gem of the VHLM playoffs with a deep bench, solid defense, and the ability to throw four good lines at teams. Another note for game 355 is E Man's vicious spear in the second period. It was a retaliatory act I and sure the league will be looking at. Jake Thunder had an assist and some massive bone crushing hits and led the penalty kill which the Hounds went 0-5. Were excited to see where the Aces go from here come playoff time. badcolethetitan 921
Game 358 Recap: I will be doing a recap between the Mexico City Kings and the Saskatoon Wild. The Saskatoon Wild coming in were standing at the top of the league, with the Mexico City Kings aiming for a playoff spot. The first period started out with the Saskatoon Wild scoring two goals, one from Minou Lambert who got his 51st of the season, and Jack Quill who got his 36th of the season. The game wasn't over though, as the Wild struck back in the second period, with Matt Rooster scoring his 39th goal of the season, and cutting the lead to 1. Heading into the third, Minou Lambert scored his 2nd of the game and his 52nd of the season. The Kings were able to stook around, with Noodles Marconi scoring his 5th of the season, but it wasn't enough as the Wild took a 3-2 win over the Kings heading into the playoffs. I want to give a quick shoutout to Minou Lambert who scored 2 goals in this game and was able to get the 50 goal mark, congratulations! badcolethetitan 921
Game 357 Recap: The next recap I will be doing is the Ottawa Lynx taking on the Halifax 21st. This was a huge game for Halifax, as they were vying for the final playoff spot and their hopes were still alive, so let's see how it went down! In the first period, the Lynx came out strong, scoring two goals by Baxter Arcanum, scoring his 10th of the season, and James Marino, scoring his 25th of the season. Heading into the second though, Halifax wasn't going to go down without a fight as Cooper Skambraks scored his 31st goal of the season to cut the lead to 1. It seemed that this game was destined to be over for Halifax, because only a couple minutes into the third, Benjamin Franklin Chang scored his 51st of the season and ended up leading his team to victory, winning 3-1. I want to give a quick shoutout to ChickenLittle who went 31/34 in between the pipes, despite losing this game. Thunder 1,166
Game Recap #356 Houston Bulls v San Diego Marlins The Houston Bulls clinched the number 1 seed with a 6-4 victory over the San Diego Marlins, to end the season one point ahead of Saskatoon. The victory also eliminated the Marlins from the playoffs, giving the Halifax 21st an opportunity to continue their season. The Marlins jumped in front with a nifty shot from Ryan Zilbert just 2 minutes into the game. Houston Bulls, Nine, scored the tying and go ahead goals before Jake Portia of the Marlins added a power play goal before the end of the first period. The 2-2 tie didnt last long as AirRig GoodBrandSun tipped in a Voss pass to give Houston the lead. Houston never looked back as they scored two more times in the 2nd period to give them a 5-3 lead after Lee Daughlitull Leedleleigh scored a desperation goal for the Marlins. Leedleleigh scored a 2nd goal of the game, early in the 3rd period and Houston Bulls player, Luca Accardi put in the 22nd goal of their career at the midway point. Houston dominated the remainder of the game holding the lead and they began their celebration at the buzzer. Nine’s 3 goals deservedly earned the first star of the game. GoodBrandSun got the 2nd star with 1 goal and 1 assist. Scotty Sundin got 3 assists to earn the 3rd star of the game. Number 1 seed Houston begins the playoffs against number 8 Halifax. The schedule is yet to be published. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/117178-games-352-360/#findComment-913881 Share on other sites
