This is probably pretty huge for us - we were right on the cusp of making the playoffs last season anyway and now we have a 2nd overall pick to either select an impact player or to move in a trade for an impact player. Either way, this is nothing but a positive for the Predators. Congrats(?) to Vancouver on their third straight Continental Cup. I know there's been a lot of discussion about if these wins deserve an asterisk or not - some will look at it that way and others won't. Either way, it's hard to argue that these weren't the three Continental Cup wins that had the most significance to the VHL as a whole since they're the catalyst to some pretty major changes in the league. Speaking of that, it seems like this off-season is going to be 4 weeks or so - back in my day, the off-season could be scheduled for 3 weeks but take up to 5!
