VHLM considers drug testing, but sees stiff resistance.

The use and abuse of illegal drugs is an issue in every important sports league in the world. Barry Bonds. Ben Johnson. Bryan Berard.  Mitchell Wiggins.

The drugs change, and the leagues handle things differently, but the reality is - it's a problem.

The VHLM has it's own particular brand of issues going on right now with rumours rising that Viagra abuse is starting to become an issue amongst some teams.  Richard Cockburn, of the VHLM Drug Watchdog Association commented today, on what he sees as a hard issue to beat.

"Though there are many who deny that Viagra abuse is ongoing among many VHLM players, we have hospital emergency rooms who would claim otherwise.  We've tried to raise the issue with VHLM GMs on several occasions now and while some GMs were willing to work with us, a few came at us like a Raging Cyclops in defense of their players."

"The truth is we need to get over our manly pride here and come face to face with the reality that there are issues ongoing.  Only then can the league thrust themselves forward to the next level of professionalism."

The VHLM has said that they will be working hard with Richard Cockburn to try and eject this issue from the league.
