The 84th season of the VHL has started and is going full tilt! It hasn't stopped waiting for those who weren't ready for it.

 

Leandro Gonçalves was ready. Not only was he ready, but he didn't wait to show the critics how prepared he came into the show. 

 

Stage set for the 3rd game of the season in the VHL. In Washington D.C., the Dragons played host to the Calgary Wranglers, who after, traveling around 3200 kilometers or 2000 miles for the imperialists, weren't about to wait to leave a mark.

 

Within the first 2 minutes, the Wranglers already had five shots. The 6th, you ask?

 

2:02 on the clock, Leandro Goncalves shoots from the slot after getting his rebound and scores! The 1st goal of his VHL career and 1st goal of the season for the Calgary Wranglers.

 

An amazing start for a team seems to be trending in the right direction. After a few seasons of rebuilding and retooling, the returning players' improvement, the influx of rookies and key Free Agent additions have turned this team into a contender.

 

And this improved bunch has already seen some controversy, having caught the eye of some other WatchMetaMen around the league after grabbing the much deserved 1st place in the North American Conference.
