Vasteras Makes Moves to Solidify Postseason Run

The Vasteras Iron Eagles currently sit as the 3rd seed in the VHLE playoff race. They had recently had a 6 game winning streak broken by a slew of shutouts despise registering 48 shots on net in one of the efforts. After suffering some loses earlier in the season to both Istanbul and Bratislava the two teams ahead of Vasteras, GM Zach Arce decided Vasteras needed to bolster the roster to be able to compete with them in a postseason series. First, Arce boosted the offense by acquiring offensive juggernaut Justin Adofsen from the Rome Gladiators. Adolfsen has immediately been plugged into Vasteras' first line and first PP unit. Although it has not been the start Adolfsen had hoped for with his new team, there is no worry production will follow soon. Next, Arce addressed the defense by acquiring defenseman Matty Live from the Stockholm Vikings. Live has been very productive offensively and is a solid defender in his own zone. Something Vasteras has needed to take some of the pressure off of goaltender Basileus Jute. Vasteras was still able to maintain all 3 of their first rounders in the upcoming S85 draft, and have 4 picks in the first 2 rounds. "We are very pleased with both deals. I think it made sense for us and our trade partners. I personally found my later picks in the S85 draft as disposable while highly valuing the early picks in this specific draft. Getting Adolfsen and Live is a huge sway in my opinion. I have faith in the core of this team going into the post-season, I just wanted to sweeten up the deal. This is our team, and this is what we will have riding into the playoffs." GM Arce said when asked about his deals.
