Ahh, here it is. A career overview. I'm not sure how many of these I will do, but I've ran out of ideas during the offseason and I think this will fill the void that usually fill with my Power Rankings. My first career overview will cover Alex Johnston, currently a RW for the Riga Reign. As someone who has bounced around the league several times, Johnston has seen his fair share of teams and what each team can offer. Without a further do, here is the Alex Johnston Career Overview!

Selected with the 8th overall pick in the S78 VHL Draft, the Calgary Wranglers chose Johnston to lead the way. In his rookie season (S79), Alex put up 9 goals and 8 assists for 17 points. While this wasn't a large production for the Wranglers, it was understandable for a rookie who was a lower TPE than the rest.

In his second year (S80), Johnston put up 22 goals and tacked on 40 assists for a total of 62 points for Calgary. This helped the Wranglers make the playoffs, where they were eliminated in the first round in 5 games.

Before the beginning of S81, the Calgary Wranglers and Helsinki Titans made an absolute BLOCKBUSTER of a trade:

Helsinki receives:

Alex Johnston

S81 LAS 1st

S81 LAS 2nd

Calgary receives:

Gustislav Nasherov

S81 CGY 1st

S81 DAV 2nd

Johnston now joins a prestigious organization in Helsinki, who seemed to be struggling since their last Continental Cup in S66. Not only did Johnston continue to perform, but he exceeded expectations. In S81, Alex scored a whopping 63 goals and added on 62 assists for a total of 125 points. Jaw-dropping, really. Unfortunately, Helsinki didn't make it to the playoffs, obviously signaling an early rebuild.

In S82, Alex only played in 50 games for Helsinki. Of course, because they dealt Johnston in a trade to the Riga Reign:

Helsinki receives:

Jolly Greene Giant

S83 LAS 3rd

S84 RIG 1st

S84 RIG 2nd

Riga receives:

Alex Johnston

Johnston finished off his S82 campaign by playing 22 games for the Reign, scoring 26 goals and adding 21 assists for 47 points. Riga made the playoffs, but were unsuccessful in their quest to win the Continental Cup.

The S83 year proved that Alex Johnston still was able to produce high-level talent, even though he was in a new place. He scored 58 goals and added on 55 assists for a total of 113 points. Riga made the playoffs but once again wasn't able to capitalize on Johnston's production and didn't win the Continental Cup.

The S84 year, this past season, Johnston put up 94 points in 72 games played. The Reign once again made the playoffs, however, still didn't win anything.

In conclusion, Johnston still shows that he can provide scoring to any team he joins. Though his best season may be behind him, there's no doubt he can still reach those numbers. @Alex is still very active within the forum, as he is currently a co-commissioner for the Junior Showcase Tournament and is the GM for HC Davos Dynamo. Only time will tell how long his playing career will go.
