Hampton on the Last Few Weeks

It's been an interesting last few weeks for Fred Hampton in the VHL World.  Here's what the center had to say on a couple of those moments:

 

On Winning the Championship:  "This was a fantastic achievement for the team.  Being able to play for such an involved coach as well as outstanding teammates really paved the way for the team to experience that success.  I'm happy for everyone involved - the locker room, the city, the fans.  It's something I'll definitely cherish."

 

On being named the Aces Top Two-Way Forward:  "I never expected to be that sort of player to be completely honest.  I knew that I could play a small role.  That I could fill in here and there.  But to have the type of impact that I ultimately had was really surprising.  But the coach had a vision and a plan and we stuck to it.  I'm appreciative of the recognition for sure."

 

On being traded:  "Didn't really see this coming.  Not that I'm against it.  I just don't know enough to have an opinion one way or another.  Hopefully the career will continue to progress and I'll find some team and individual success on this journey.  Keeping an open mind and hoping for the best really."
