ThePerfectNut 563
Daniel Weaver is having a decent season so far despite being his first time playing with the adults since he didn't play a single game in the VHLE compared to the others. Actually, he's the only one with Phil Strasmore not to have played a single game in the pro until this season. He is 7th in the rookie points race which is pretty good for his first time against grown men. He is also the best-producing player in his draft class who's in the VHL right now with 38 points in 62 games for the New York Americans. He also has 68 hits and 31 shots blocked, he is the 5th best forward at blocking shots already ! (If we exclude HSK whole team blocking shots) The one thing that is holding him back is playing on the second line, who's allowing too many goals and I feel like it cost us the season completely. Daniel Weaver feels like he could have had an even better season if he played with more talented linemates around him, especially since he's the second-best winger on the team in every stat besides +/-. Anyways, the New York Americans are fighting back, but they are still in a tough position. D.C Dragons and Los ANgles Stars are losing a couple of games while the Americans are on a 3 game winning streak. They are just 5 points for 4th place, but it's really tight and it can go either way. NY has a very tough schedule, but after beating the Seattle Bears. NY hopes are looking a bit bright, but will it crash down again...
