Daniel Weaver's first season has ended and it was a decent season with some highs and some lows. Daniel Weaver finished 9th in the rookie racing with 42 points to the season.

More specifically, he scored 12 goals and assisted 30 times while playing second-line minutes only. He also has 36 blocked shots! That's tied for 5th between any wingers in the whole VHL. (Excluding HSK) This shows off his defensive game and not scared of using his body on the line.

Another thing about his rookie season is that he's one of the only two rookies who never experienced playing in a pro season, which is even more impressive. He's also leading his draft class in points in the VHL currently and hopefully, he can have a tremendous sophomore season if he can finally play first-line minutes since he was the second best winger on the team.

Unfortunately, his team the New York Americans missed the playoff and were the second-worst team in the North American conference. Now, you'd think NY will have a consolation prize with a lottery pick in the upcoming draft? No! We only have a single 3rd round pick in the upcoming draft so the off-season will become a snooze first for us. Weaver is skeptical about the future of this team, especially since it's a cursed franchise, but all he can do is improve, produce for this team and finish out his rookie contract before moving to a better path.

Only time will tell now.
