Jayhawk 93
The Mexico City Kings came into the draft with a clear plan. They knew who they were targeting throughout the draft. However at 28 Overall they picked Tim Riggins, A little known player from Canada who seems to have a lot to bring. Sure he Interviewed well, but there was little interest in the 6 foot 6, 220 pound teenager. Little is really known of him other than his potential. But isn’t that what the draft is all about? Drafting potential? I mean no one really knows what’s going to happen with any of these prospects. Some may overacheive, some may fall short. Tim “ BIG RIG “ Riggins comes with a high potential for sure. His love of hitting is where the nick name BIG RIG comes from. But its his ability around the net that makes him an interesting prospect. He loves garbage goals. He has a knack for finding the puck around the blue paint. Of course that was before the draft. He now has to find and develop his game to the VHLM and hope he can do it quickly. Time will tell if he achieves it or not, but one thing is for sure, he’s going to push hard to be achieve his goals.
