Daniel Weaver so far...

Daniel Weaver has had a decent season so far, but a few more points would not hurt.

One impressive stat so far for daniel weaver is that he has 16 shots blocked in 14 games. In comparison, he had 36 shots blocked in 72 games in his rookie season (Which is already good for a forward). He is already halfway there with 58 more games to play! Will he be the first-ever forward to average a blocked shot a game? Only time will tell.

He's also not taking a lot of penalty minutes and he's shooting the puck a lot. The one thing that is hurting him right now is no power-play points. In the off-season, he dominated in a tourney on the powerplay, but with Riga. He doesn't really have the help just yet to reproduce his performance from the ProAM off-season tourney.

He's been decent on defense despite being a -7. We need to remember that he's now facing all the top lines each night and he's leading a line where it's only rookies who are trying to establish themselves in the VHL. It will become better the later the season progress.

He only has 9 points in 14 games, but he's expecting to possibly get more points once the team starts rolling and we use different lineups during the season.

Anyways a lot of time left and Riga is a rebuilding team. Not a lot of expectations this season, but we will still try to give our fans a performance worthy of there tickets.
