KRZY 416
As Season 86 comes to a close we will take a quick review of LA Stars rookie C Todd Cooke and his first season with the Stars. Cooke started off as one of the top rookies in the VHL and kept pace for about the first 1/3 of the season . The next 2/3 of the season Cooke seemed to hit a wall in his production and his once promising rookie season where he was competing for the rookie points lead quickly slipped through his fingers. Now don’t get me wrong he has had every opportunity make something out of this season and have success. And while he worked hard to try a achieve the goals he set for himself he never really measured up to the expectations he laid out for himself at the start of the season. You could contribute that partially to the lack of team success in LA aswell but Cooke would not put the blame on anyone besides himself . “ I have to be better and work harder everyday to compete in the league and be successful. “ Cooke told reporters in a recent interview. As the season comes to an end Cooke will look to build of of this year and take that next step to become a house hold name next year on S87 . Keep an eye out this kid is hungry .
