A Goaltender's Holiday Season

Lachlan Summers, his husband Frankie, and their beloved dalmatian Addy packed their bags and set off on a trip back to the goaltender’s home in Brisbane, Australia after the conclusion of the VHLE regular season. Despite his disappointment in not being able to experience the playoffs in Victory Hockey League Europe, he figures the time spent with family makes up for it.

 

Lachlan promised his mother Marcie and sister Taryn that he’d be back home for the holidays, and that was exactly what he intended to do— with a promise to Frankie that he’d spend Christmas with the Ducharme family in Quebec next year, fair is fair after all. Frankie’s brother Etienne, however, would also be awaiting their arrival in Australia as he began dating Taryn a few months prior.

 

As soon as they landed in Brisbane, the bitter cold weather that he had grown accustomed to in Stockholm was replaced with the balmy Australian climate. Marcie, Taryn, and Etienne greeted them warmly at the airport— ready to head home, celebrate the holidays properly, and ring in the new year together.
