RIGA REIGN PROSPECT REPORT: ALISTAR GRAVES

 

 

     After joining the Yukon Rush in Season 39, right winger Alistar Graves was selected 17^th overall by the Riga Reign in the Season 40 VHL Entry Draft. While the talented young player made great strides during his first half-season in the VHLM, Graves still needed more seasoning and was sent back down to the minors for Season 40. Selected by the Oslo Storm in the Season 40 VHLM Dispersal Draft, Graves has put up pretty good numbers so far, with 11 goals, 20 assists, and 65 hits through 22 games. While Alistar’s play style is often compared to fellow Riga teammate Brennan McQueen, Graves may not have the skill level to be a bonafide star in the VHL. However, with his hard work, determination, and propensity to get into the dirty areas, Graves could make a fine complimentary player on the first line or become a very solid second line player. Graves is expected to join the VHL in Season 41.
