leandrofg 1,156
After bursting onto the scene early in his career, Leandro has hit a rough patch in his career. We're now close to finishing Leandro's 4th year in the VHL, and the Portuguese player hasn't gotten any closer to the top of the league in terms of production. Unlike other athletes to whom this has happened in the past, Leandro hasn't suffered from issues on the ice. There haven't been any scandals, injuries, or setbacks, but Leandro has failed to ascertain himself as a top scorer in the league. Not only that, but Leandro's production is stale. He hasn't been able to improve on his numbers ever since he went from 42 to 81 points scored between his rookie and sophomore season. Despite this, Leandro keeps working hard in his game, and that's an incredible value the Portuguese holds, but there's a question looming. Could Calgary be looking to move from the ex-Wonder? The cap will be a problem in the near future for Calgary, and Leandro is expensive for his level of production.
