Preds Eliminated Early

Well…the season 87 playoffs did not go as hoped for the Warsaw Predators.  An offensive power house struggled despite outshooting a talented Riga Reign club.  Riga was able to capitalize on their scoring chances and dominated the Preds in 3 straight matches.  

 

Moving forward the Predators have most of the club returning next season.   Only forward Tom Creeg, defenseman tough guy Jeff Buffy, and goalie Wumbo are on expiring contracts.  Wumbo has been a legend for the Preds but has since gone IA so unsure if we can sign him again.

 

The glaring weakness for the Preds was team defense overall.  They can score goals in bunches but stopping them consistently in the offensively powerful EU conference proved to be their Achilles heel.  

 

Congrats To Riga and I am excited to see how the EU conference playoffs turns out with so much talent.  Sad to see the Preds go early but we will be back next year ready to go.
