As was noted in a prior article the Season 87 offseason ProAm is Molly the Cat’s first. As such there was some nervousness about the process and how Molly the Cat would do. Molly the Cat was pleasantly surprised by the ProAm draft as they ended up on a very well-built team, Atlantis Apocalypse

Molly the Cat was put on the second line, and I mean no offense to the fun group of people that make up that line, but Molly the Cat did not expect to compete performance wise against the first line which included Nico Pearce, Landon Wolanin and Adam Rage at Forward and Reylynn Reinhart and Liv Slate on Defense. The group of Pearce, Wolanin and Reinhart are perpetually some of the top players in the league and playing on a line together should outperform. Molly the Cat has done surprisingly well, it helps that they clicked with Todd Cooke and up and coming star Vincent Laroche-Gagnier (the VLG) making a strong second line. Secondly Molly the Cat has taken advantage of being on the top power play line with Pierce and Reinhart accumulating 31 power play points in 52 games. In total, Molly the Cat, sits second on the team for total points with 87 with only Pierce having more and sits 4th overall in the tournament.

Molly the Cat has come out strong in this offseason tournament and may be on their way to proving they are one of the top scoring players in the VHL today. It will be important for this performance to carry forward early into season 88 to be fully recognized. Molly the Cat is feeling great and expects that this newfound confidence and performance will be standard going forward. The top players in the game today need to watch out, Molly the Cat is coming.
