Subject056 1,205
Prospect Scouting Report Liv Slater Age: 24 years Birthplace: North Vancouver, Canada Weight: 148 lbs Height: 5’9 Position: Defensemen Brief Look Before The VHLM Slater has been playing hockey since she can remember. An active and competitive child who spent her free time in the rink, she took to the ice in hockey like a natural. She played in minor leagues where she was scouted for the VHLM. It’s been her goal to make it to the VHL so when she was offered a contract and got the opportunity to play for the Houston Bulls, Slater jumped at the chance. VHLM - Houston Bulls S87 Slater played for the Houston Bulls as an Offensive Defensemen. Having only lived in one city her entire life she welcomed the change and looked forward to joining the Bulls on the ice. She was determined to prove her skills on the ice in the big leagues. Especially since she had been named as one of the Assistant Captains for the Bulls. The first several games for Slater went slowly as she got used to her bearings and how the team worked together. She had a lot to work on and pushed herself to improve her stats. Working with her GM she took a look at where she needed to apply herself and worked on those specifics to up her game. Slater needed to improve her passing and goal scoring. Her defensive work was looking good but she really wanted to improve on her offense. The changes worked and it was starting to show in her game. She was steadily getting assists and scoring goals. The offseason in particular in the JST was where Slater’s skills and improvements really came through. Slater was the leading Defensemen in the tournament with impressive offense and defense skills coming alive on the ice. She dominated the tournament and played steady games throughout, continuing to score and assist, all while shutting down opposing teams. Her skills in the JST caught the eyes of teams in the VHLE and VHL where she ended up being drafted 7th overall in both the VHLE and VHL to Oslo Storm and the Chicago Phoenix. Watch out VHLE, Slater is on her way! VHLE - Oslo Storm S88 saw Slater play for Oslo Storm where she was named one of the Assistant Captains for the team. The season for Slater was off to a slow start due to her skill level. Compared to the VHLM the VHLE had tougher competition with more experience. Slater knew she needed to improve her defensive skills in this league and work on her scoring. Her assists weren’t looking too bad so she worked with her Oslo GM to increase her scoring output and sure up her defending. As games continued Slater was a name to look out for. A third of the way through the season and her defensive skills continued to improve along with her offensive. She just needs to keep doing what she is doing to bring up her stats. Slater is a player to keep an eye out for as she continues to hone in her skills and gain more experience on the ice.
