After yesterday's games, we saw both the Hounds and Reapers move up in the power ratings knocking the Kings and 21st's down. 

 

Highest Climb: Tie between PHI Reapers & SD Marlins

 

The Reapers and Marlins closed the gap between the top 2 and 3+4. 

 

The Marlins had a pair of 4-1 victories vs. Saskatoon and Miami. Brad Marchand led the way with 4 points (2G, 2A). 

 

The Reapers beat Miami 3-1 and shut out Halifax 4-0. In addition to Karl Herzlich's shutout against Halifax, Anthony Simmons scored a hat-trick that game while scoring 5 points (3G+2A) combined through both games.

 

It will be exciting to see how high these two teams can climb. They go head-head tonight in game 289. It is a must-watch game!

 

Biggest Fall: MIA Marauders

 

Miami had a pair of decisive losses to the two teams above (Marlins & Reapers) and a heartbreaking 3-2 overtime loss to HOU Bulls. Through these games, they were outshot 92-74, scored no power-play goals, and their penalty kill allowed two goals. We all know they are a better team than these results. We will see how they bounce back. 

 

Other Highlights: With a pair of MEX Kings losses and a pair of MIS Hounds wins Mississauga has taken over the number 1 spot. This effort was led by Jeff Lewis scoring 7 points (2G, 5A) in the two games.
