nurx 914
So Halifax's season ended in the first round after getting stomped by a team that should have been much closer. I really haven't paid much attention to the M all season this year besides Chiang, but I do know that Halifax probably should have gone to 6 games. However, because of how certain things in the league have turned out two players that could have been big game-changers were not playing for Halifax and I do believe that put a huge damper on the possibility of a deep run. This isn't about Halifax getting curb stomped, but about what I see as a promising future for Pope Francis. The Pope had a good shooting percentage for a defenseman where he scored 25 goals. He also did great with assists with 70 with a combined point total of 95. Where the Pope excels though is defensively where he had a very wide margin between him and second place for SBs with more than 50 SBs making the difference. This is for sure the type of player I want to be building who does great defensively but is capable of collecting some apples on the opposite side of the ice. I believe this is good hope for the Pope the question is where does he get drafted? Pifferfish 512
@nurx I think honestly the record doesn't do my team justice. After the TDL we had the best record in the league I'm pretty sure, and we have 4 100+ TPE D-Men, huge advantage compared to your team with it's 2 very late additions to the D-core. Overall the Pope is a shoe in for Dman of the year and it isn't close. I also probably think he is the regular season MVP. Draft this man first overall!!!!
