Romanov Stars Well In First Appearances

In our last report of following the Russian Prodigy player, Afonya Romanov, had fully declared his recruitment and commitment to the VHLM team in San Diego, something that was floating around the surface for some time now. With it finally set in stone, Romanov was reported to be back in San Diego on a flight rather quickly to be able to star in his debut game against the Las Vegas Aces.

 

To warm up for the performance, that was only a few days later, Romanov was reported on the ice hours before the game to practice, along with talking with teammates in the locker room (keep in mind, he really has had no time to communicate with anybody on the team besides the General Managers and office officials). When the team hit for the game, it felt like Romanov had always been apart of the team. In a 5-3 victory, Romanov shined amazing in a debut with 2 goals, leading the entire game for the most by a player on either team. After the game, Afonya did a quick press statement:

 

"It feel really good being here, I think my performance was very good, very strong. If we continue to work together and play like that, we will move up the ranks and overtake higher teams and take home the cup to the city."
