Trade Deadline is Looming

 

 

The day is almost upon us, trade deadline day in every single league! There are a bunch of questions surrounding London as they currently sit one point out of third place, which means they would be able to skip the wildcard round altogether this season. The biggest issue for London is putting the puck in the net, and I don't think anyone will deny that. They've only scored 78 goals this season, which is towards the bottom of the league in goals for. However, they are one of the best defensive teams in the league, only getting beat out in GA to the Moscow Menace. London likes to play the "New York Islanders" type of hockey, where you rely on goaltending and good defensive play to win you guys. It might not be the most entertaining, but it does work, as London sits at 18-12-4 on the season. The biggest question mark for the trade deadline would be is will London add to their team? Currently, London is looking to go on a run and repeat the last season's cup run, however they're going to need some help. There's also some contracts that are going to be expiring, including Siyan Yasilievich who could see himself dealt if the cards fall into the right hands. At the end of the day, it'll be very interesting to see what happens and I can't wait to see all the trades go down not only in the VHL, but also in the VHLE and the VHLM, where teams will look to make huge splashes!
