The Geneva Rush have traded with Vasteras for a former San Diego Marlin. We've seen a lot in this S89 draft class and here's another reunion. Shubham Anand has found his way to Switzerland and found himself reunited with defender Fradin McGryer. Both players played the entire regular and post season last season under San Diego. Both of these players found themselves drafted by Vasteras and were separated at the beginning of the season. The Winger has found himself on the powerplay with his former teammate and both players have expressed great excitement to see each other once more.

In the eight games Shubham has played for Geneva, he's notched a total of two goals and boasts a +5 rating out there on the ice. Only taking a single minor penalty in those eight games, Shubham proves he brings a mental game that compliments the penalty heavy Geneva roster. This is player they can rely on special teams, as well as five on five capabilities. If his point production ramps up, it would not be too far fetched to say we would see Geneva reclaim the top spot in the standings. The coaching staff hopes this addition will rein in some of the PIMs his hothead counterpart likes to accumulate, without the cost of his physical game.
