twillcox94 21
Willcox talks to the media after his first practice with the Brampton Blades BRAMPTON - Brampton Blades general manager Terence Fong announced the acquisition of Welsh power forward Travis Willcox late Thursday evening. Willcox, a young standout formerly of the Cardiff Devils of the Elite Ice Hockey League in the United Kingdom, joined the Blades for his first practice Friday morning. A prospect for the season 42 VHL draft, Willcox decided to enter the VHLM for the remainder of the season instead of waiting until the off-season in order to adapt his game to the style of play that presents itself in the VHLM. "Our organization is excited about the acquisition of Willcox. We believe that Willcox can help us on our push towards a playoff spot this season, as well as be a key contributer for our season 41 team. He brings a rough and rugged style of play and I enjoy the fact that he battles hard around the boards and in front of the net." "I was thrilled when I was notified by my agent that I was claimed by Brampton. I believe my physical style of play will suit well with the style of play here in the VHLM. I'm joining the Blades during the homestretch, and I plan on giving my all to ensure that the Blades will be in a playoff spot by years end."
