Travis Willcox Joins Brampton Blades

BRAMPTON - Brampton Blades general manager Terence Fong announced the acquisition of Welsh power forward Travis Willcox late Thursday evening. Willcox, a young standout formerly of the Cardiff Devils of the Elite Ice Hockey League in the United Kingdom, joined the Blades for his first practice Friday morning. A prospect for the season 42 VHL draft, Willcox decided to enter the VHLM for the remainder of the season instead of waiting until the off-season in order to adapt his game to the style of play that presents itself in the VHLM.

We believe that Willcox can help us on our push towards a playoff spot this season, as well as be a key contributer for our season 41 team. He brings a rough and rugged style of play and I enjoy the fact that he battles hard around the boards and in front of the net."
