Fradin99 96
The Geneva Rush, soon to be rebranded and folded into the Vasteras Iron Eagles, fell in five games to the cup winning Cologne Express. The games were high shooting, hard hitting, and saw plenty of electric saves from the goaltending. And arguably one of the most notable players during that series from the Rush, Fradin McGryer, has now been revealed to have been playing through a fractured fibula. The defender recounts on exactly when he took such an injury. "...During game two, I was battling Keon Jeannot in front of the net. And I remember hearing the clap of a slapshot up by the blue line and next thing I know pain shot up my leg. It was swollen the size of a baseball down there but. Doubled up on socks and tape, played through for the boys..." McGryer had 4 points in 5 games. 26 hits and 20 blocked shots to lead the playoffs. He will be out four to six weeks in recovery at the facilities in Calgary, where he will be playing next season and his rookie VHL season at that. 184 words 8/6/2023
