[TORONTO] The Toronto Legion look to be turning the tide in their long term rebuild as they’re currently tied for first in the league. Jimi Jax – their leading scorer from last season – is not surprised by the sudden shift to a winning atmosphere. In a post practice interview Sunday morning, Jax stated that multiple factors of contributed to the Legion being the hottest team in the league.

“It’s a bunch of different things for me personally – bringing in Sogs [Sogaard], Lavy [Lavelle] and Yasi [Yasilievich] was huge. They are solid veterans who will be in HoF discussions. Mac [Atlas] re-worked his skating technique over the offseason and its obviously working for him as well. But I think the main factor is the confidence the core had throughout the rebuild. We just worked on our own game with patience knowing one point we were going to break through”.

Jax highlights patience in his quote, despite that is only been three seasons since him and captain Mac Atlas were drafted into the league. The young core has certainly taken off and has the veteran backbone to help push them over the top before the halfway point of their careers.
