Ivan Retoslav is widely known as one of the most consistent players of his era in the VHL,what many don't know however, is that Ivan throughout his career was actually so horribly inconsistent that it went full circle and made him consistent again. This season is a prime example, currently Ivan is sitting at 40 points on the dot, after he somehow managed to get 5 points in his last 2 games, despite him being on pace for one of his worst seasons ever. Ivan now only needs 7 points in his next 4 games to clear the elusive 500 point mark for his career, and if he can continue doing what he currently is, then that will definitely happen.

Another thing about Retoslav, his faceoff percentage is unreasonably high, every single season. His faceoff percentage is currently 59.12%, an insane number considering most elite centermen can only hit about 57% if they are lucky. A third thing that makes absolutely no sense is that Ivan is one of the greatest fighters in London United history. In his two tenures with the team, Ivan's current fighting record from what I can recall is 9-1-5. That means that despite him never training his fighting skills, he is one of the most successful fighters in not only London United history, but also in VHL history. This stat, on top of the fact that his first career fight was a win, which came against star player and extremely tough enforcer Vinny Detroit, and the fact that in Season 87 he won the unofficial award for best fighting record, at 6-0-1 on the season. Ivan's career is truly an outlier when looking at the VHL careers of players with builds similar to his, as he consistently defies expectations in everywhere except for point scoring.
