We caught up with Sam Teibert to get his thoughts on the league, the upcoming playoffs, and the S42 draft.

Q: How has it been adjusting to the style of play of the VHLM?

A: It's been difficult. I started off slow when I first got to Bern, but the team has been very supportive. I think I have picked my game up quite a bit these last few games, and I'm excited to see what we can do in the playoffs.

Q: You mentioned the playoffs. Many experts are writing you guys off because of your struggles at the end of this year, are you confident going into the post-season?

A: Definitely, we like being the underdogs. We haven't played great the past couple weeks, but we picked up a new goaltender Ivars Klajums, who is improving rapidly. I think we could surprise some people, the framework is there, it's just about going out and making it happen.

Q: You play on a line with heartthrob Kyle Kingma. What's it like being around a guy who is so popular off the ice.

A: Kyle's great, It's been cool to get to know him on and off the ice. Especially off the ice, he hosts the best damn parties I've ever been to. I don't know where he picks up some of his guests, but man there a good time.

Q: Finally, you were the first player eligible for the S42 draft. Does that put any pressure on you to be a top pick?

A: I really can't control that, I'm just going to play my game and a good ranking should come of that. Right now I'm focused on playing for the Royals and making a run in the playoffs.

Q: Thanks for your time Sam, and good luck in the playoffs.

A: Thank you.
