The Rebranded VHL

With the unfortunate announcement of fraud within the VHL it is with a broken heart that we must announce the disbanding of the Victory Hockey League. This unfortunate news will leave many people without the engaging past time that they have come to enjoy. We are sorry this has occurred. 

 

That is why we have taken it upon ourselves to rectify this grievous situation and we are now able to announce with great joy the new and improved VHL. The Virtual Heroic League. The new VHL will move away from simulating the simplistic game of hockey and will enter the epic world of adventure. Count this as your call to arms. Come one, come all and take your place in the realm. By joining every player will take on the role of a Heroic Knight looking to gain fame and glory for the kingdom the hires them. Spend the week training and building your skills to take part in a variety of epic conquests. 

 

Each week every kingdom will send their knights to one of three heroic competitions in hopes of gaining honor for their kingdom, wealth to purchase advancements for their land and epic treasures that can turn the tide of future conquests. 

 

The first competition is the Tournament of Knights, a battle of skill that will gain each kingdom honor and wealth. Knights take part in an elimination format tournament showing their skills in jousting, weapons combat, and archery. Each kingdom must send at least one individual for each of the three areas of combat but have the ability to send multiple combatants to improve their odds. 

 

The second option for each kingdom is to send knights to fight the growing evil in the land. In this option knights march throughout the kingdom eliminating evil hordes of creatures, fighting thieves and/or destroying terrifying monsters 

 

Lastly kingdoms can send their knights into the vast wilderness in search of adventure, in search of lost secrets or in search of epic treasure. In this option knights search the unknown wastes for things to help their kingdoms build or items to use to gain advantage in future weeks competitions. 

  

Knights are the strength of a kingdom, each player takes on the role of a knight and has the ability to train in a variety of skills the first group of skills including mounted weaponry, melee weapons training and ranged weapon skills. These skills form the basis of a knight’s fighting strength and assist in taking part in the Tournament of Knights. The second group of skills involve areas like horsemanship, wilderness survival, monster lore and Treasure identification. These additional skills help knights as they battle evil and search for adventure within the wilderness, 

 

I encourage you to sign up and become one of the knights of legend. Battle your fellow knights for honor and glory, rid your kingdom of evil or go out in search of adventure. Help build your kingdom, make it a place envied by other knights and earn the coveted title of Empire of the realm that is awarded each season to the best kingdom.
