HawksFan19 89
The day has finally come. Jarome Iginla has finally been traded back to his home team Calgary. It has been quite a while since Jarome last played in Calgary, last with the Flames in 2007 which was S3 of the VHL. Having travelled across the world playing for Boston, Pittsburgh, Colorado, Saskatoon, Helsinki, and just now Quebec City, Iginla feels relieved to return back to his roots. “It’s honestly surreal! I wish things could have worked in Quebec, but under the circumstances I was in, the Quebec GM felt it might be better for his team if he traded me to another team.” “I was fully aware that I was coming to Calgary, my GM and the Calgary GM kept me in discussions, but it took some perseverance to get the Calgary GM to swing in my favor and pull the trigger on the deal to send me back to my home town. I know I was born in Edmonton, but after being in Calgary for so long, it became my home.” Watch for Jarome Iginla to become a sensation yet again in Calgary this upcoming season.
