VHLM GM Experiences

I am going to ramble on about my VHLM GM Experiences and everything in between.

It all starts back in S80, my first full season in the VHL. I ended up being asked to become the interm GM of the Houston Bulls I believe it was Mid-Season? I could be wrong. That team ended up finishing with a record of 38-28-6.
For my first partial season as a GM I was pleased with that record and it secured us a playoff spot where we would play @samx's Halifax 21st in the First Round.  That series ended up going to Game 6 where the Halifax 21st would end our season. It was definitely a good experience and we looked to do the same thing in the seasons to come.

S81:
Going into this season I was very excited and ready to actually have control over a complete season. I believe at this point I hired @Arce to be my AGM and that was the greatest decision I made during my time in the VHLM.  We had a very strong team and looked to improve on what we did last season. We finished the season with a record of 52-18-2. During that season I believe I had to deal with 2 of my players getting banned... @Lemorse7 and everyone's favourite alt Kachur/Horcrux! But that did not stop us as I did something some GM's didn't like and that was keep my starting goalie in my roster which was Juha Jarvinen which was one of the multi's that got banned but I wasn't breaking any rules so I wasn't gonna take him out. We did end up making playoffs and we were up against the Philadelphia Reapers in the First Round, this series went to game 6 again and our season would once again end there losing 4-2 in the series. Once again was happy with the performance and was excited to see what we could do next season.

S82:
This season Arce and I decided we would go all in I believe and go for a cup, we got some great players and were super confident.  This season looked alot like the last one as we went 52-16-4 and clinched 1st in the league!!!!
We had to play the Ottawa Lynx in the First Round which we mopped the floor and won the series 4-0 which was super motivating. In Round Two we had the Mexico City Kings which went to Game 7 and we somehow ended up winning and taking the series 4-3. FINALS!! For the first time in my GM career my team was in the finals, I was super excited and nervous at the same time. We were up against the Saskatoon Wild who finished 1 point behind us in the regular season so we knew this would be a tough series. This series went to Game 7...... Saskatoon ended up scoring 6 goals to our 3 which would end our season and we would be without a cup once again.. I was super happy with how the team did.

S82 would be my last season as the GM of Houston as I had lots of IRL stuff happening and needed a break. Arce would end up getting the GM job for Houston and I would follow as the AGM. and I would GM again for another few seasons.

S85:

Oh boy where do we start, ill make this short and sweet. Once again I believe I took this team over Mid-Season due to the GM getting banned. We would end up going 48-18-6 landing us a playoff spot. We were up against the Philadelphia Reapers in Round One and our season would come to an end after 7 Grueling games. Once again I was happy with how the team did considering I got the team mid season (I think). I was excited for next season as I planned on staying.

Lets just say there was no S86 in the VHLM for me as I was offered a GM spot in the VHL for the Toronto Legion which I happily accepted and have been the GM there ever since.
