DBC Anchor: Hello everyone; here at Canada's branch of the Dimmensia Broadcasting Corporation, we have a big story for you today! Vancouver Giants phenom Brandon Petan Jr. has signed his first professional deal with the Ottawa Lynx of the VHLM! Needless to say, this is much earlier than anyone thought we'd see him turn pro and many were speculating about his probable selection in the upcoming NHL Entry Draft! Previously projected to be selected first overall by the San Jose Sharks, Petan Jr. will aim higher as he enters the VHL system. Although the Ottawa Lynx sit at the bottom of their conference after a less-than-desirable opening to their season, fans seem optimistic after the signings of Petan Jr. and his WHL teammate in Vancouver, River Harrington! Here with us is Michael Burrows, ready to introduce us all to this 18-year-old prospect:

Michael Burrows: Well, Brandon. How does it feel to finally have signed a professional contract? How are you feeling about your first game tomorrow?

Brandon Petan Jr: It's honestly been unreal- I didn't ever imagine it would be this soon that I would play hockey at this level. The guys and management have been really great and I'm excited to get on the ice with them as soon as I can. I'm really excited to share the first game of my career with River as well, it's gonna be a really special experience playing in Halifax in front of that crowd.

MB: Do you think the recent signings of yourself and River can help this team to a playoff spot?

BPJ: I've never been able to play at this level before so it's hard to say before our first game. Philadelphia I know is within reach and of course I believe if we give it our all we can make up six points easily. I know we've got a solid tendy back there in Onye and I think we can do it. It would be a dream to play for the Founders' Cup!

MB: Any goal you're shooting for? A team you want to play for, a trophy you want to win, or maybe a player you'd like to emulate?

BPJ: Growing up, Daniel Janser was the person I wanted to be when I grew up. I've tried to model my game around his because it's what I grew up watching! I'd also really like to meet Antonia Bucatini and Viktor Jensen, I have such tremendous respect for their play and hope to one day play in the VHL whether it's with or against them. Of course the goal above all is just to make it there, really.

MB: And lastly, is there anything you'd like to say to the Lynx fans at home?

BPJ: I want to say thank you for how you've stuck through this tough season with the team and let you guys know how excited I am to play my first game in Ottawa next week. I've heard from the team how amazing you guys are and I'm so excited to be along for the ride for the rest of this year!

MB: Thank you, Brandon for taking the time today to speak with us! We wish you and the Lynx a great rest of your season! Back to you in the studio:
