Langostine 12
The Chicago phoenix after coming off of a slightly disappointing playoff run are ready and excited to begin the new season led by their coach Badcolethetitan and their star player Francesco Mancini. What the league isn't aware of however is the talent hidden below the surface in the minor leagues for the Chicago Phoenix. Of course everyone should recognize Lightning Mcsnipe as the most exciting player the league has ever seen and he is ready to dominate in the VHL as soon as possible. However he must wait at least 1 more season in the VHLM/VHLE before he can be called up to play with Francesco and the amazing Chicago Phoenix. Although this is a shot in the gut for the Phoenix there are a ton of bright spots for them as well which would be their depth players on the team such as Dank Turtle, Joshua Schwarzer, Legacy gaming and many more star players the Chicago Phoenix will rely on this season. But I don't believe that the Phoenix will be done there as they will be making a HUGE trade soon. I would try to trade for a very big star forward using all of our draft capital because I believe the cup is right in their grasps and they just need that 1 big player to do so. This all sounds great but there are still some issues that must be solved for the Chicago Phoenix to rise above all the other teams. My first issue with this team is that our goaltending is pretty lackluster and we need to draft a goalie high in our draft picks (assuming we don't trade them) that can lead this franchise to greatness alongside Lightning Mcsnipe and the other Chicago Phoenix members. The second issue with this team is the lack of depth currently as although they have the best rookie in the Vhlm Lightning Mcsnipe that will not be good enough for the later seasons to come as they need more depth forwards and defensemen to go along side Mcsnipe especially when all the big guns decide to hang em up. And finally the most important issue of them all would have to be our horid defense. The Chicago Phoenix may as well be playing a 5 on 3 every game with the lack of defenders they have as they simply cannot manage. One big piece of evidence for this is star defensemen Karol Lamb had a whopping -6 for his 7 games played in the playoffs which is horrid for a series like this is Darnell Nurse type numbers. It may appear that my critique to the Chicago Phoenix may come off as harsh or rude but I want this franchise to achieve greatness ASAP and all the points and reasonings to why this team will be great or what they need to work on in the future is going to help this franchise move forward to pursuit the one thing every hockey player treasures deeply. The Stanley cup (and a big contract to feed the families with). 511 words Edited July 20 by Langostine Forgot to put my words Moon, Triller, TenIQ and 1 other 2 2 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/149822-phoenix-rise-above-the-ashes/ Share on other sites
