Wow! It’s already the start of the VHLM season and Shaw has showed out! In his first 6 games, Shaw has an impressive statistic of 9 assists, and zero goals, with a plus minus of -1, impressive for the only defenceman on his team! He’s showing signs of being an extraordinary passer, connecting with his team well, earning 5 assists in a game. Shaw’s impressive footing puts him third in scoring for all defencemen, topping all players in their first season, and second highest for all S96 players. He is also tied for the most assists among the whole league, with 9 assists, and 0 goals, a truly remarkable achievement. While it’s incredibly early in the season, it will be interesting to see how Shaw goes from this point on, does he look to improve his passing more, does he focus on defence? Or will Shaw look to improve another part of his game, such as his shot or his skating ability. The development of Shaw is one to look for in the future, and it will be interesting to see how Shaw looks in the future, with potentially a better defensive partner, and a developed version of his already incredible passing. A weakness of his game is notably his skating and defense, so it will be interesting to see how that leads in the future for the young Indian.
