Hopes are running high throughout the organization as the Toronto Legion get ready for S41. After a painful S40 campaign filled with growing pains of the ongoing rebuild, things are finally looking up for the young Legion organization. Joining the core of Tyler Cote, Devin Sundberg, and Jerrick Poole are a new crop of young prospects looking to make a name for themselves in the VHL. S40 prospects Sachimo Zoidberg, Jamie Hill, Shadhu Rathod Jr., and Ed Grr will all be making the transition to the big leagues in S41, providing a spark for the rebuilding Legion squad. Zoidberg, the Sakic Award recipient as the VHLM's most valuable player and Toronto's newest captain, is one of the early favorites to win the Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy and along with Rathod Jr. will take some pressure off of Cote and Sundberg in the offensive zone. Meanwhile, Jerrick Poole, the lone All Star from Toronto last season, will be mentoring both Jamie Hill and Ed Grr as the two young defenders learn the ropes of the VHL in their rookie seasons.

"These guys are hard workers and all bring something to the table," said center Tyler Cote during the Legion's first practice early Tuesday morning. "They have been great in the locker room and they have really upped the anty around here. Their work ethic is spectacular and you can really tell it is rubbing off on us older guys. I'm really excited to not only get on the ice and see what they can do, but to show these new guys who runs the show around here. They now have front row tickets to the Tyler Cote show and S41 is just the beginning."

While the Legion still find themselves with a (literal) hole in net, the Legion have first round pick Fedir Okrantiz lying in wake and should make his VHL debute next season. The core is there, the potential is obvious, now it is up to Cote and the gang to put everything on the line and to put some hardware in the Legion's trophy case.
