flyersfan345 38
Top Halifax 21st defenseman Boris Bone-Breaker was traded to the Miami Marauders late on Tuesday, in exchange for a S98 first Round draft pick (SDM) and a S98 fourth round draft pick (MIA). Bone-Breaker was a key player for Halifax to date this season, tallying four goals, five assist, nine points and 45 hits in 14 games this season. Bone-Breaker was in his second season with Halifax, playing S95 for Oslo of the VHLE, and will join Miami, his first VHLM team, to address a key need on the blue line after losing three of their last four. Miami is locked in a very tight Eastern Conference playoff battle, currently tied for fourth with Halifax, each with 12 points. The trade came right after back to back wins by Halifax, who have won three of their last four games, and appear to be steering the ship in the right direction after a rocky start. The 21st had five defensemen prior to the trade, which will likely lead to increased playing time for their young defensive corps. The trade may be one of the biggest ones we see in the VHLM this season, and the impacts of the deal will be interesting to watch going forward.
