A pair of defenders heading into the prime of their career are set to be the stars of the Legion blueline for the foreseeable future. Heading into their third and fourth seasons in the VHL respectively, the Legion look set to see Andrew Skilton and Gul Dukat take control of the back end and handle the bulk of the defensive load moving forward. Skilton is under contract with the Legion through S99, while Dukat has signed until S98, so both players have plenty of time to continue to grow into their new responsibilities in Toronto.

Both players are coming off of point increases in this past season, and will attempt to best their totals again next season. Skilton saw an 8 point increase from his first season to his second, while firing 43 more shots at the net. Dukat picked up 11 more points than S95, and added 55 more shots over the previous season.

The players will still have a veteran to guide them along, as Walter Fitzroy Jr. is set to enter his 7th season on the Toronto blueline, coming off of a career high in goals last season. Fitzroy Jr. is also signed through S98 to provide the stabilizing presence on the back end, so the Legion blueline is almost set for a couple of seasons.
