Daniel Janser 2,213
No, CGY was not a happy camper just after the OT loss against Vancouver. He felt that the whistle was a little bit to one-sided and that playoff hockey is not anymore what it once was. He knows he is a physical player and prone to draw penalties. But getting almost double the time in the sin-bin than the whole opposing team is a little bit too much for his liking. It is also clear to Cal that he is biased on the matter and needs some distance after this mood-killer. So he packs his camping gear and his fishing tackle, throws it in the back of Eilidh (his trusty truck, not his cousin). And drives off to the Catskills for a week of solitude. The Swiss defender needs to cool down a bit and reflect, whether his zero tolerance style of hockey is not outdated and has no place anymore in today's VHL. Whether he is more of a burden to his team than an asset. He does not get younger either and he expects to have to work harder to stay competitive. The Americans' captain wonders whether he will be considered good enough to play for Western Europe alongside his cousin Mav. sadie 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/153046-cgy-janser-needs-some-time-off/ Share on other sites
