It has been a few weeks since Jarome Iginla was sent back to his new hometown of Calgary, Alberta. Playing with the Calgary Wranglers has become a different experience than it was playing with the Flames, but Iginla seems to be adjusting slowly. Currently 6 games into the VHL season, Iginla sits last among active players on his team with just 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists). Coming off a 120 point season in the VHLM with the Saskatoon Wild, Jarome had high expectations coming into this depleted Calgary team, as he felt he would be one of the shining stars of the team; just like he was in Saskatoon.

He is not. Kez Kincaid, Marcus Hurley and Jakub Linholm have taken the spotlight in Calgary, and really made up for the absence of Jarome Iginla. The season is still quite young, and Iginla has plenty of time to keep training and make up for this early slump.

If he doesn't, Iginla already has told various Calgary media sources that he will suck it up and try to play a different way to prevent goals, and not score them.
