Some would say Ahsoka Tano is the clear rookie of the year in the VHL. Some would argue that statement for days. I'm not here to pick a side, but instead, give you an unbiased view on the candidate.

Drafted 5th overall by the Helsinki Titans, Tano had high expectations heading into his rookie season. Coming out of the VHLE, he had over a PPG as a defenseman, which is pretty impressive. He was traded to Seattle halfway through the season with a solid stat line in hand already. In 47 games with Helsinki, he totaled 43 points. He was traded for a S98 1st, 3rd, 3rd, 4th, and Sunset Moth (579 TPE). He then played another 26 games with Seattle and gained 14 points. This brought him to 57 points in 73 games by the end of season - leading all rookies by multiple points. Without a doubt, Tano has been, and will continue to be, one of the best players in his class currently, and there's no denying that. He has shown he shines when the spotlight is on him, and doesn't back down from any challenges. Has he done enough to earn rookie of the year though?
